Explore the greatest family friendly wine trail in The Great Smoky Mountains, The Rocky Top Wine Trail. The trail is made up of five wineries and a distillery located within a 12-mile radius. Each location has its own personality and style of wines to offer. From traditional dry bold red wines to sweet Muscadine fruit wines, you can taste it all. Not to mention, the wines and moonshine products on the trail are made right here in Tennessee. 80% of the wine and shine uses fruits from local farmers and grape growers.

The great part is that you don’t have to complete the trail in one day. Each winery and distillery is located near an amazing attraction site or a delicious restaurant. Especially the Apple Barn Winery! The Apple Barn Winery, located right in Apple Village, where you can get apple cider, apple ice cream, apple pie, and of course apple wine!
In the Gatlinburg Area?
Don’t miss out on a taste of the moonshine from Doc Collier Distillery. The distillery still till this day uses the original recipe as Doc Collier did to produce their delicious shine. On the other side of town is Sugarland Cellars but before you reach there, across from “The Village” is Sugarland Cellars satellite store, which gives a taste of what you will find at the main winery. Purchase a bottle from there and receive a coupon you can redeem at the main winery.
Wine and Cheese? Yes, Please!
Sugarland Cellars, the main winery, is a very unique winery to visit in the smokies.
